بر خلاف جراحی بینی کاهشی، هدف جراحی بینی افزایشی این است که سایز کلی بینی را به تناسب افزایش دهد.

با اینکه این نوع جراحی بینی نسبت به جراحی بینی کاهشی رواج کمتری دارد اما هنوز هم افرادی هستند که ممکن است به این نوع جراحی نیاز داشته باشند. بینی این گونه افراد ممکن است به دلایل ژنتیکی یا دلایل زیست محیطی کوچک تر از حد نرمال باشد و ظاهر نامتناسبی را ایجاد کرده باشد.
